Why should I configure Divisions in the Network Manager tool?

Problem

When using the Network Manager tool, TINs and NPIs must be associated, followed by patient attribution. In between these steps are options to configure CCNs, Divisions, and Sub-Groups. Since Divisions and Sub-Groups do not affect patient attribution, what is the point in configuring Divisions?

Solution

The primary purpose for configuring Divisions is for analytics and reporting. It is also useful to group TINs under Divisions in order to associate grouped practices in a more definitive manner.
