What is the difference between a Warning and an Error in the Network Manager tool?
Problem
While importing TIN and NPI configuration templates, both Warnings and Errors appear. What do these mean?
Solution
A Warning will not stop the import process from finishing, and is primarily used to inform you of urgent circumstances regarding this TIN/NPI combination. Most commonly, this is to let you know that the patient assignment algorithm cannot be used for a TIN/NPI combination that is not supported by QASSGN (Quarterly attribution file) data.
An Error will stop the import process from finishing, and must be corrected before the import can be completed. This is usually due to a mechanical error within the spreadsheet, and is explained in greater detail alongside the error.
