How do I assign patients to a non-QASSGN related provider?
Problem
The patient assignment algorithm and the manual assignment on the TIN/NPI Management Review page both rely on data from the QASSGN (Quarterly attribution) file to assign patients to a practice and provider. How do I assign a patient to a practice and provider that is not part of their QASSGN data?
Solution
Use the manual patient assignment import. As long as the TIN and NPI are configured together, you can use the import to assign a patient to any TIN/NPI combination as long as it does not involve a Facility NPI.
