How do I associate CCNs with TINs?
Problem
The TIN/NPI Management tool is used to associate TINs and NPIs in the system. But what does an ACO with one or more CCNs (CMS Certification Number) do to accomplish this?
Solution
After associating TINs and NPIs in the TIN/NPI Management tool, the next step allows you to enter CCNs and their corresponding TINs. By doing this, you link the CCN to the TIN in a manner similar to NPIs being linked to TINs. The algorithm will then attribute patients directly to the TIN when the QASSGN presents claims data for attribution.
